The Slater Foundation is a British charitable organisation which was set up in 1970 by Jim Slater, the well-known investor.

Sadly Jim Slater passed away in November 2015 but the Trustees are committed to making sure his vision for The Slater Foundation continues.  He wanted the less obvious causes to receive help.

Over the years the Foundation has helped, amongst other projects, to improve British chess and British junior tennis, assist with the restoration of Claremont Landscape Garden in Esher, Surrey, participate in specific projects for Butterfly Conservation and enable a young girl to be the first from the UK to attend the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St Petersburg.
